Stuffed Burgers

(1 portion)

Ingredients

320 grams minced beef

1 egg

1 tablespoon oats

½ teaspoon ginger

A pinch of oregano, basil, salt and pepper

½ garlic clove

1 tablespoon olive oil

For the stuffing you will need

10 grams sliced onion

30 grams different coloured sliced peppers

2 slices bacon

1 slice cheese (for toast)

For the sauce you will need

1 large mushroom, chopped into slices

1 tablespoon chopped onion

½ teaspoon basil

1 shot white wine

½ glass cream

2 tablespoons olive oil

Pinch of salt and pepper

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Preparation for the filling

Sauté the onions and peppers together with the chopped bacon. Remove from the heat and set aside.

Preparation for the sauce

Sauté the mushrooms in a frying pan at a high temperature, adding the onions,  wine, salt and pepper and allow the wine to be absorbed into the mixture,  adding the cream and finally the Worcestershire sauce.  Remove from the heat.

Preparation for the burgers

Add all the ingredients together, dividing the mixture into 2, flattening the burgers. Add the sauce between the two burgers plus the slice of cheese. Place on a piping hot grill, on a low heat for approximately 10 minutes grilling the burgers on both sides.

Remove from the grill and place on a plate topping the burgers with the sauce.

Serve with grilled vegetables and fried potato chips.
