Nikolaos, turtle spotting in Laganas Bay and around Marathonissi Island, water parks, bowling, a natural history museum, Askos nature park, the Keri lighthouse and sea caves and view of the Mizithres formations, the Venetian Aqueduct at Krioneri, Strani Hill - where Dionisos Solomos wrote the national anthem, the museums in Zakynthos Town, the Roma Mansion dating from the 17th century.
River explorations, rafting, bird watching, Ancient Greek, Roman and Byzantine sites, mountain climbing and walks in the Pindus mountains, Museums in Ioannina, the Roman city of Nikopolis, natural springs, castles and more. In the winter there is skiing in the mountains.
